UPM Reclaim System
 UPM
can design & install custom engineered reclaim systems of reject
mouldings in to the granulator and the regrind de-dusted; checked for
contamination and metered back in to the process eliminating any labour
involvement.
A typical application as illustrated based
on reclaiming reject air inlet manifolds weighing 3 kg injection moulded
in 3 parts from 35% glass filled PA6 and automatically welded with 100%
inspection.
Reject mouldings are automatically loaded
to the infeed conveyor passing through a tunnel metal detector for
ferrous / non ferrous contamination prior to granulation. The regrind is
then conveyed via a mechanical screw conveyor to the centrifugal sifter
to remove dust / fines before passing to a final metal detector ensuring
all regrind is totally clean prior to being dried and metered back with
the virgin material at a throughput of 180 kilos per hour.
The equipment shown in the photo are SYSCON heavy duty belt conveyor, tunnel metal detector, UPM Granulator with (optional) mechanical screw conveyor, KEK 300
centrifugal sifter, free fall metal separator and a two-way bagging
unit.
