Intier Automotive in Redditch selected UPM Conveyors Ltd to
automate the product handling from a bank of seven large tonnage Injection
moulding machines which offered a pay back time of only eight months against
an investment of £150k by improving efficiency and reducing labour.
LogisticsPRO downloads order data to the UPM PC. This information is then
transferred to the UPM PLC bar code readers to divert boxes to the
appropriate picking; packing and shipping areas. At each stage the conveyor
system sends data back to LogisticsPRO, keeping the status of each order
continuously updated.
Knife Edge belt conveyor 1500mm wide by 2000mm
long to be used with a Tunnel metal detector for processing bacon as part of
a total turn key project from UPM Conveyors.
